Everything is exactly as you desire it to be right now
While most people would strongly disagree with this, it holds a fundamental truth.
The only reason you might not see it is because you haven't yet explored this statement.
Let's consider it now.
If I propose that your deepest desire is to control every aspect of existence, what is your immediate response? If you agree, I'll revisit this with you later. If you disagree, perhaps thinking you only wish to control a few things, I would then ask: is that truly the case? Is it accurate that your desire for control is limited to only a few aspects?
Let's assume, for a moment, that it is. What would happen once you've changed those few things? Wouldn't other things then arise that you'd want to alter? And after those, still others?
Where would this process end? Only when everything aligns perfectly with your desires?
You might still contend that you only want to change a few things, but that's likely because everything else you currently don't wish to change is already as you want it to be. But time moves on; things will change, and you'll likely find yourself wanting them to revert.
Therefore, it isn't just a few things you desire to control; it's, in fact, everything.
Recognizing this is crucial – truly grasping that this desire is the underlying energy driving your actions.
So, you want to be able to change everything. What happens when the universe doesn't cooperate with this endeavor?
What is your direct experience when existence as a whole resists your plans?
What do you feel? Frustration? Sadness? Anger? Or something else?
Essentially, all your actions are fueled by this desire for complete control.
But is this truly the case? Do you genuinely want to control everything?
You might object, saying you only want to control a few things. However, as we've already explored, this isn't the full picture. You might even convince yourself it's true. But what is your experience when you hold this belief?
The reality is, you desire to control everything. Is this the truth for you?
What would happen if you were able to control everything? Would you decree that everyone should share your opinions?
And after a brief moment, with everything in the universe precisely as you want it, what then?
Can you even imagine such a state?
How long would it take before the uniformity of it all began to frustrate you?
How long before your deepest wish would become: "Surprise me!"
So, in a way, everything is exactly as you want it to be, because existence is constantly surprising you. All that's needed is your recognition of this.
What will happen to your frustration when you realize this constant state of surprise?
How will your relationship with life transform when you understand this?
